Bhutan Film Institute and KBIFF Launches its 2024 Masterclass Series with Roie Galitz, Awardwinning Wildlife Photographer.
Thimphu, Bhutan – The Bhutan Film Institute with its inaugural 2024 Kingdom of Bhutan International Film Festival (KBIFF) is delighted to announce the premiere launch of its Masterclass Series featuring famed, multiple award-winning wildlife photographer and conservationist, Roie Galitz. Scheduled to take place August 2 and 3, 2024, in the majestic Kingdom of Bhutan, known for its breathtaking landscapes and commitment to environmental conservation, the BFI is bringing a roster of world-class experts during the KBIFF to inspire and educate Bhutan’s aspiring filmmakers and audiences from around globe.

Roie Galitz, a luminary in the field of nature and wildlife photography, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the KBIFF stage. With a career spanning over two decades, Galitz has garnered international acclaim for his stunning imagery capturing the beauty and fragility of our planet’s most remote and endangered species. His work has been featured in prestigious publications, exhibitions, and documentaries worldwide, earning him a reputation as a visionary artist and passionate advocate for wildlife conservation.

As a BFI masterclass presenter at KBIFF, Roie Galitz will offer invaluable insights and practical guidance to aspiring and seasoned filmmakers alike. Drawing from his extensive repertoire of field experience and technical mastery, Galitz will delve into the art and science of storytelling through the lens, emphasizing the importance of narrative, composition, and ethical considerations in wildlife filmmaking.
