Chencho Dorji is a producer, actor, and director whose work spans over 70 films and is a five-time winner of the Bhutan National Film Awards.
As a champion of the arts in Bhutan, Chencho currently serves as The President of the Film Association of Bhutan, the Founder and CEO of Li Wang Multimedia, a Board member of Chithuen Phendey Tsogpa, and the Director of Communications and Strategic Engagement at Kingston International College. He is also the Founder of Bhutan Film and Travel, and creator of The Voice of Bhutan.
Chencho personifies the ultimate multitasker without compromising the quality of the multiple projects in which he is engaged.

Mel is the Creator, Executive Producer and Journalist Host of ESCAPESEEKER, a public television travel series showcasing the greatest destinations in the world, telling each story uniquely through the eyes of the local inhabitants from various walks of life. For inveterate globetrotter, Mel and her indefatigable, talented film crew, travel is like air.They cannot live without it. Together, they capture the world’s most amazing dream destinations. Mel thrives on the serendipitous, unexpected encounters, embraces the “bucket list” must do before you die kinds of adventures, and charms locals everywhere. Mel’s background as a seasoned journalist, film documentarian, and Washington Congressional staffer, led Mel to the transcontinental lifestyle which took her everywhere from gatherings on the French Riviera, to Mount Kilimanjaro, to the bottom of the world, Antarctica, Mel's 7th continent. Along the way, Mel’s gregariously kind personality opened doors and created lasting friendships with people we all would love to know—from scholars, to international royalty, to celebrated chefs, to maverick fashionistas, to musical artists, to village Chiefs, and even some of Hollywood’s A-list stars.
Mel strives to set an example for her six grown children, and 14 grandchildren all of whom have inherited her insatiable wanderlust, and their "Glamma's" deep desire to give back to the world by engaging in various humanitarian initiatives, from the United Nations to Make-A-Wish to C.A.R.E. etc. Living by her motto, "No matter where you go, be the kindest person you know," Mel promises that if you follow this rule, the world will open up to you."

Tshering Phuntsho, a veteran actor and filmmaker with over 16 years of experience, has significantly contributed to Bhutanese cinema since his debut in 2007. With a collection of over 50 feature films, he's acclaimed for his versatile performances and directorial skills, evident in his works like "Wai Lama Kencho" (2016) and "Hinglay Ra I Love You" (2022). Beyond the big screen, he's directed TV shows like "Voice of Bhutan Season 1" and actively participates in TV commercials and social awareness projects. Tshering's talent has garnered him numerous awards, including Best Supporting Actor at BNFA 2010 and Best Actor Awards for "Hum Chewi Zamling" (2018), "Tsoenra" (2020), and "Taba Hoka" (2022). His excellence was recognized internationally with a Best Supporting Actor Award at the Samuh OTT Awards in 2022. Tshering Phuntsho's illustrious career is defined by his passion, dedication, and constant pursuit of artistic excellence, inspiring future generations in Bhutanese cinema and beyond. Tshering is married to actress Demdup Dema, and they are the parents of two brilliant boys.

Sibille Hart Pritchard is an accomplished businesswoman with a professional background in journalism, public and government relations, commercial and tourism development and international business development for the state of Florida with worldwide destinations such as Japan, China and South Korea.
Her leadership in commercial and tourism development has been an integral component of major Central Florida projects, including tourism corridors Bonnet Creek and South I-Drive/Plaza International, as well as the Waldorf Astoria Orlando Hotel, the first Waldorf property opened outside of New York, for which she also designed and managed the official grand opening.
She is also, among others, a board member of the Turtle Conservancy, continuing the lifelong work and legacy of her late husband, Dr. Peter Pritchard, a world-renowned expert in the study, research and preservation of turtles and one of Time magazine’s Heroes of the Planet. Together, Peter and Sibille delivered numerous film projects highlighting Peter’s work for networks including BBC, National Geographic and more.
A native of Guyana, South America, Pritchard received her education in Europe and in several parts of the Caribbean. Her career began in journalism, where she spent 15 years as an award-winning women’s editor for the Guyana Graphic newspaper in Guyana.

Operation Officer
Bumpa brings over a decade’s experience in the film industry to BFI and has worked as an actor, director, and production manager. His experience includes work on critically acclaimed projects such as Gawa Other Side of the Moon, Kushuthara The Pattern of Love, and The Little Night Hunter. He starred in and directed “Markhep”, winner of Best Short Film at the 2022 Samuh OTT Awards. He was also a runner up in the 2010 National Talent Hunt. His wide range of experiences and skills has proved indispensable for BFI.

Finance Officer
Dechen Choden graduated with a Bachelor’s in Commerce in Accounting from Gedu College and started her professional career with the State Trading Corporation of Bhutan. She is dedicated to personal growth to become an even stronger asset to BFI, and is committed to ongoing self-improvement to drive innovation and to contribute to BFI’s mission and growth. Dechen is also fluent in Dzongkha, English, Nepali, and Hindi.

Kinley Tshering
Board Member
Kinley Tshering is a Creative Director at Samuh, Bhutan’s first OTT platform. An award-winning former journalist, he has worked as an editor for several national newspapers in Bhutan. Currently, he is the Chief Editor of Tashi Delek, the inflight magazine of Drukair, Royal Bhutan Airlines. He has also written screenplays for short films, features and web series, and directed several documentaries and TV commercials. He is one of the Board of Trustees of Film Association of Bhutan and a Board Director of Samuh. He has a Masters in Convergent Journalism (multi-media) from AJK Mass Communication & Research Center at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India.

Lhaki Dolma
Board Member
Lhaki Dolma is an actress and served as a member of the National Council of Bhutan. She has acted in 18 films in a career that she started while attending her final year of high school - securing the lead role in the Chepai Bhu (Beloved Son). Her performance in Chepai Bhu secured her the best actress award in the first National Film Awards in 2002. Ever since, she has been one of the most sought-after artists in Bhutan.
Lhaki Dolma topped the prestigious civil service selection exams, and went on to work with Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, where she served for three years before leaving to pursue a career in film where she resumed her acting life and also began scripting, producing and directing feature films.
A devout Buddhist, Lhaki is a vegetarian and is a proud mother of two daughters and one son.

Tashi Dendup is currently serving as Executive Director for the Film Association of Bhutan. He is a certified Trainer on Social Accountability (SA) tools in Bhutan. He is a social worker and SA practitioner and as a certified SA trainer about driving sustainable practices. He is experienced in implementing programs, skilled in developing training regiments that empower organizations to enhance their social responsibility framework. He works hard to foster a culture of ethical governance practices. He worked in Bhutan Transparency from 2013 until 2017, is CEO for Institute of Information Technology and Management, and is also the Founder of TD Research center.
